Megan Maitland will be our guest speaker at the Tehachapi Audubon meeting October 28, 7p.m., at Golden Hills Elementary School, 20215 Park Avenue, Tehachapi.

Megan is the Director of the California Living Museum (CALM) in Bakersfield where she combines her background in zoology with her lifelong love of animals and nature. She believes strongly in the power of connecting people to wildlife and is dedicated to making conservation accessible and meaningful to the community.

The program is free. All are welcome; you do not need to be an Audubon member to attend. Light refreshments are served and there is a bird related raffle. See kernaudubonsociety.org for information.

Tehachapi Audubon Group is part of Kern Audubon Society (KAS). KAS has many projects including installation of Fishing Line Receptacles, Save the Kern activities, community education, preservation of public lands and wildlife habitat.
