Friends of California Condors Wild and Free
Join us for an introduction to the magnificent and critically endangered California Condor. This talk highlights the species’ natural history, from their Pleistocene origins to their dramatic decline and “extinct in the wild” status, and explores the successful Condor Recovery Program. Maria will discuss captive breeding efforts, how the wild flock is managed, and the ongoing challenges these birds face.

Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Golden Hills Elementary School, 20215 Park Rd, Tehachapi
All meetings are free, open to everyone, and include a special program with light refreshments. Audubon membership is not required to attend. Families are encouraged to bring their children for an introduction to local birds and nature.
